Thu 23 & Fri 24 February – 77th Happo Riesen Slalom Competition

Due to the competition, from the top of Riesen Slalom course to the botom of Nakiyama slope will be closed from 8:00am on Wednesday 22 February until the end of the event on Friday 24 February.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your understanding and cooperation in order to ensure the safety of the event.

※The illustration below represents the competitors race course (red line) and the non-competitors ski course (blue line) descending to Nakiyama public (Nakiyama #3 triple lift) or via the cat-track to Shirakaba-Gondola. Caution to non-competitors, please descend the Riesen Slalom course and cat-tracks carefully.

We are now preparing to send out the bib race numbers.
Please make sure to bring your bibs with you to the event as they will be sent out around the 15 February.


The 77th Hakuba Happo-one Riesen Slalom event will be held on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th February 2023.

The event features a 2,500m long Riesen Slalom course with an elevation difference of 650m starting at 1,410m Usagidaira course to the goal at Nakiyama. The time race is a self challenge and opportunity to ski the Riesen Slalom course alone!
We look forward to seeing you all at the event.

Applications will be accepted from 10:00am on Thursday September 1st 2022 via the online sports entry web page(Japanese only).
